and his stamp collection, which would not have been possible otherwise.
Working very hard on researching and adding unique material to
his collection, Georg von Steiden has become the most knowledgeable
expert in this field. His monograph on Carpatho- Ukraine stamps
(Spezialkatalog Karpaten - Ukraine) issued in 2000 brought him
a world reputation as the most competent and trustworthy specialist
in this area. Mr. von Steiden received a BPP status of German
Expetization Union, he also became an Ukrainian Philatelic and
Numismatic Society expert in this field.
Yes, Stamps of Carpatho-Ukraine have become a part of many great
collections formed by widely known stamp collectors like John
Bulat, Andrew Cronin, Zbigniew Mikulski and many others, but only
the name of Georg von Steiden brings a new meaning to the Carpatho-Ukrane
